Friends of the Ferry is a grass roots organization created, post-Katrina, in response to the LA DOTD’s decree that the Canal St. ferry would no longer run until midnight. That management has “retired” and we have back our midnight ferry. Our vision now is to work toward the implementation of high-speed passenger ferries with multiple stops along the river.
